The Green Egg is an ingredient found during the Egg Hunt event. It can be collected to ultimately craft the Golden Egg, which is just a decorative item.
Note that Green Eggs can be "corrupted", in which case they will fight you! They will behave like a Green Slime and a couple of whacks will kill them.
